Privacy Policy

Waved is an app for discovering, sharing and listening to DJ sets. This policy explains what information Waved collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information you provide

• Account details — your email address, password, display name, and optionally a profile photo and bio. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
• Content you create — DJ sets you add, comments, likes, playlists, follows, and shared moments. Sets, comments and your profile are visible to other Waved users.

Information collected automatically

• Usage analytics — we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, which screens are opened and how often sets are played). Search queries and other free-text input are never recorded.
• Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, a device token is stored so we can deliver them. Turning notifications off in Settings removes the token.
• Playback state — your watch history and playback positions, so you can resume sets where you left off.

Third-party services

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, storage, analytics and push notifications. See the Firebase privacy documentation.
• YouTube — sets play through YouTube's embedded player, which is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Spotify and Apple Music — only if you choose to export liked tracks. Waved requests the minimum permissions needed to create playlists or add songs to your library, and never reads your existing listening data.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This permanently removes your authentication account and profile. You can also email us (below) to request deletion of any remaining content.

Children

Waved is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
